ABOUT THE MUSEUM
Our Story
The Museum of Imagined History is the first museum of its kind dedicated to the presentation of the artifacts of imagined histories. By re-imagining the past, we seek to inspire a new generation of history-makers to imagine new possibilities for the future, through curiosity, creativity and compassion.

Our collections are built through collaborations with the creatives of our time. We work with artists, writers and thinkers to develop a varied collection of artifacts and writings that leave space to fill in the gaps, to find your own stories and relate your own truths.

The aims of the museum are:

To enhance opportunities for imaginative and creative learning in relation to shaping future realities and reshaping knowledge of the past
To develop a virtual resource of artistic and imaginative responses to shared and personal histories
To support artists, writers and thinkers in the development of their work and practice through promotion, peer support and residency opportunities
To promote imaginative learning through the development of free educational resources, linked to our artifacts, exhibitions and archives.
